To protect yourself from fraud and to ensure a secure stay, please read the following guidelines:Official Website: Please ensure you are booking only through our verified website: www.royalcrown-hotel.comOfficial Emails: All communication from us will come from an email ending in @royalcrown-hotel.comMandatory Registration: In accordance with the regulations of the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA) and national security laws, all hotels are legally required to record and verify the identity of every guest. No guest can be accommodated without providing a valid government-issued ID (NIC for Sri Lankan citizens / Passport for international guests).House Rules on ID Deposit: While Sri Lankan law mandates the collection of guest data, there is no statutory law or regulation that prohibits a hotel from holding an identification document as a security deposit within its own premises.Contractual Agreement: By checking into Royal Crown Residency Hotel or Royal Crown City Hotel, the guest explicitly agrees to our internal house rules. As a private establishment, we exercise our right to require the physical deposit of the original ID/Passport for the duration of the stay to ensure payment security and property protection.Return of Document: The original document will be stored in a secure location and will be returned to the guest immediately upon completion of the check-out process and full settlement of all outstanding dues.Right of Refusal: Guests who do not wish to comply with this security measure are free to seek alternative accommodation. We reserve the right to refuse entry to any person who does not agree to these terms.

LOCAL CURRENCY PAYMENT POLICY

In accordance with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka Act No. 16 of 2023, all payments made by Sri Lankan residents will be collected in Sri Lankan Rupees (LKR). Where a booking is quoted in a foreign currency, the equivalent LKR amount will be calculated using the Central Bank of Sri Lanka buying rate applicable on the date of payment.
